John Harmer – Senior Consultant
John Harmer is the archetypical complete and versatile executive whose experience, knowledge and skills have been developed over 25 years in “hands on” operational, line and executive management positions. A significant amount of this time has been performing these roles for multinational organisations in the Asia Pacific region, during which he has developed expert knowledge of the business environment and managing in multi cultural organisations.
At various stages of his career, John has held positions of Managing Director SE Asia of a global IT&T company, Vice President Asia Pacific of a global identity and biometric security solutions company, General Manager Asia Pacific of a large Australian services company, Managing Director of joint venture company exporting technology and consulting services, Regional General Manager of a global technology solutions company, General Manager world- wide client support for a global services provider.
Throughout the development of his career from a technical background to executive management John has been active or accountable for many functional roles including support, sales/marketing, legal, HR and finance. John’s business career has introduced him to the markets of the United Kingdom, all of Asia including China and Japan and the USA. Business sector exposure has included Defence and National Security, Airlines, Resources, Government and Public Safety and Banking and Finance.
For the last six years John has been assisting and supporting a diversified range of client companies through his own consulting company, Remrah Consulting Pty Ltd. The focus has been to provide business performance reviews, restructuring and change management consulting services. The synergy identified between Cardif and Remrah encouraged the merger of the two organisations and John now forms part of the Cardif team. Johns holds the degree of Bachelor of Science (Engineering).
